On July 10, 2023, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved the genetically modified tomato Del/ ROS1-N for food use. The transgenic tomato has the characteristics of increasing the anthocyanin content in the fruit, and its products need to be labeled according to the “National Bioengineering Food Information Disclosure Standard”.
