In accordance with the relevant laws and regulations of the Mainland of China and the provisions of the General Administration of Customs of China (GACC) and the Macao Secretariat for Administration and Justice on the inspection and quarantine and veterinary health requirements of meat products exported from Macao to the Mainland, it is decided to amend the GACC Announcement No. 60 of 2023 (Announcement on Inspection and quarantine requirements of meat products exported from Macao to the Mainland).

The revised contents are as follows:

First, Article 3 is amended as follows: "The production, processing and storage enterprises shall, under the supervision of the Macao Municipal Administration, comply with the requirements of the relevant veterinary health and public health laws and regulations of the Mainland and Macao, be approved by the competent authorities of Macao, recommend to the GACC, and be registered after examination and verification by the GACC. The list of meat products to be imported into the Mainland should be made clear when applying for registration."

Second, the first item of Article 4 is amended as: "All meat used in the product comes from the Mainland or the Mainland approved 'access countries (regions), access products, registered enterprises' and has passed the inspection and quarantine."

Third, the first paragraph of Article 5 is amended as follows: "Each batch of goods shall be accompanied by at least one official original food hygiene certificate, proving that the batch of products comply with the relevant provisions of the public health laws and regulations and inspection and quarantine requirements of the Mainland and Macao. Meat products produced with raw materials from the Mainland and meat products produced with raw materials from 'access countries (regions), access products and registered enterprises' approved by the Mainland shall be issued with food hygiene certificates respectively."

The revised "Inspection and Quarantine Requirements for Meat Products exported from Macao to the Mainland" (see Annex) takes effect immediately, allowing meat products from Macao that meet the relevant requirements to be exported to the Mainland. GACC Announcement No. 60 of 2023 shall be repealed simultaneously.
