On January 9, 2024, the Government of the Russian Federation issued Decree No.2377, banning the export of rice, rice grains and flour for the period from January 1 to June 30, 2024, which came into force on January 1, 2024.

According to the document, the export of rice and rice grains and coarse flour are mainly included in the Eurasian Economic Union's foreign economic activities and the Unified Commodity nomenclature of rice and grains: 1103195000.

The export ban does not apply to the export of rice and rice grains and flour to the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union, Abkhazia and South Ossetia, and for the provision of humanitarian assistance.
