On April 17, 2024, Bulletin F2024L00465 was published on the Australia Gazette website amending the standard relating to the use of cellulase from genetically modified Aspergillus niger as a processing aid. Effective April 17, 2023, the standard was amended to include the following new criteria. The amendments include the addition of a new scope of use for cellulase from Aspergillus niger as a processing aid: for the brewing and production of drinking wine, etc.
