According to the U.S. Federal Register, on May 10, 2024, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) issued Regulation 2024-10182, which exempts cocamidopropyl betaine from residue limits.
According to the regulation, cocamidopropyl betaine is exempt from residue limits when used as an inert ingredient (additive or surfactant) in growing crops, pre-harvest crops, and post-harvest unprocessed agricultural commodities.
This regulation is effective as of May 10, 2024, with applications for objections or requests for hearings to be submitted by July 9, 2024.
