On June 26, 2024, the General Administration of Customs of China (GACC) issued Announcement No. 75 of 2024, announcing that with immediate effect, the import of Polish French beans meeting the relevant requirements is permitted.
French beans in this announcement refer to the seeds of non-seeded French beans (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) grown and processed in the territory of Poland for direct consumption or food processing purposes.
French bean exported to China shall come from production, processing and storage enterprises approved by the Polish National Plant Health and Seed Inspection Agency (hereinafter referred to as the Polish side). The production, processing and storage enterprises shall be recommended by the Polish side to the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China (hereinafter referred to as the Chinese side), and shall be registered after being inspected or scrutinized and approved by the Chinese side, and shall be published on the website of the Chinese side and updated dynamically.
At the same time, the announcement also lists in detail the relevant requirements that need to be met for import, including production requirements, packaging and transportation requirements, product requirements, certificate requirements, etc.
