Brazil revised regulations on the use of food additives

On July 3, 2024, the Brazilian National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA) published Directive INNo 306 through the Official Gazette, amending the regulations on the use of food additives (i.e., Directive INNo 211 issued in 2023). The specific content is to add new requirements for the use of various food additives such as mono- and diglycerides of fatty acids in some food products, some of which are shown in the table below. The directive is effective as of the date of publication.
