GACC Announcement No. 98 of 2024 (Announcement on Quarantine Requirements for Fresh stone Fruit Plants Imported from Kyrgyzstan)

On July 31, 2024, the General Administration of Customs issued Announcement No. 98 of 2024, announcing that from now on, fresh stone fruits from Kyrgyzstan that meet the relevant requirements will be allowed to be imported.


Fresh stone fruits include Apricot (Prunus armeniaca) and Peach (Prunus persica).


Stone fruit orchards and packaging plants exported to China shall be examined and filed with the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic (hereinafter referred to as the Kyrgyz side) and approved for registration by the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China (hereinafter referred to as the Chinese side). The registration information includes name, address and registration number for accurate traceability in the event that the export goods do not comply with the relevant provisions of this Announcement. Before the export season every year, the the Kyrgyz side shall provide the Chinese side with the list of enterprises, which shall be published on the website of the General Administration of Customs of China after being examined and approved by the Chinese side.

At the same time, the announcement also detailed the relevant requirements for imports, including packaging requirements, plant quarantine certificate requirements.
