On August 14, 2024, the China National Center for Food Safety Risk Assessment (CFSA) publicly solicited comments on four new varieties of food additives to be solicited, including:
(i) New varieties of food additives:
Butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT)
(ii) New varieties of food fortification agents:
2'-fucosyllactose, 2'-FL
(iii) Food additives with expanded scope of use:
Curdlan, Stevia sugar (enzymatic transformation)
Deadline for comments: 9/14/2024.
