The website of Argentina's State Secretariat for Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries recently reported that the Argentinean government has adopted Resolution No. 96/2024, which will establish a new "Official Grading and Classification Supervision System for Beef and Beef Carcasses". This government initiative will improve product quality and transparency in the meat industry and enhance the position of beef products in the international market.

The new system covers the grading and classification standards for beef and beef carcasses in all slaughterhouses in the country and introduces a certification system for professional graders of beef and beef carcasses.

The implementation of the new system will provide a more objective and accurate quality assessment system for Argentine beef products, improve the transparency and objectivity of meat grading through the establishment of a modernized production and metrology control process in the meat industry, and better position Argentine beef in demanding markets such as the European Union and Asia.
