According to the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU), on November 13, 2024, the European Commission issued Regulation (EU) No. 2024/2856 amending the Annex to Regulation (EC) No. 1334/2008 by removing Benzene-1,2-diol from the list of flavoring substances.

This Regulation comes into force on the twentieth day from the date of its publication.
