December 11, 2024 - Thailand's National Agency for Agricultural and Food Standards proposes to develop a rice standard, with a feedback period ending February 11, 2025 for comments. Main contents:
(1) Scope and definitions;
(2) General Requirements. Rice grains are uniform in appearance, odorless, and safe and suitable for consumption; moisture content ≤15%; and contaminant content standards as shown in the table below.
(3) Labeling. Product name, net content, quality grade, production date, best-before date, manufacturer's name and address, storage instructions, cooking methods, etc;
(4) Sampling and testing methods.
