On December 18, 2024, the Singapore Food Authority (SFA) issued a news release stating that it will resume imports of pork and pork products from Shandong Province, China.
It is understood that on February 25, 2019, the SFA issued a notice suspending the import of pork and pork products from Shandong Province in China since February 20, 2019 due to an outbreak of African Swine Fever (ASF) in Laiwu District, Jinan City, Shandong Province, China.
Now that the outbreak in the area has been resolved, the Food Authority of Singapore (FAS) said it is lifting the above import restrictions.
