On October 29, Thai Ministry of Commerce said the share of beverage products exports accounted for 73% of food exports. From January to August 2021, beverage exports generated US$14.04 billion for the country.

The position of the Thai food and beverage industry in the global market includes two parts. The first category is products that occupy a large market share in the global market. Exports continue to increase. Star products include food such as animal feed, condiments and noodles. The second category is that exports have grown well but have a low share of the global market. Food and beverage exports have great potential for growth. Therefore, exports should be promoted to increase revenue.

The government helps companies promote products by organizing product promotion activities. Products include meat and meat foods, beverages, plant and animal fats, milk and dairy products, flavored foods, pastries and breads, sweets and ice cream.

The development of food and beverages needs to keep up with consumer demand changes and trends, especially after the epidemic, consumer demand for health promotion, environmental protection, the use of non-chemical raw materials, and the use of pollution-reducing packaged food and beverages have increased.
