The Singapore Food Agency (SFA) announced on 18 April 2022 that it has imposed temporary restrictions on imports of poultry and poultry products from areas near the highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) outbreak in France. 

Singapore will impose temporary restrictions on imports of poultry and poultry products from the French provinces of Corrèze , Dordogne and Finistère due to outbreaks of highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza.  Poultry products that meet the heat treatment requirements of the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) for inactivation of avian influenza viruses will not be affected by the import restrictions.

Poultry products exported from Corrèze province before April 1, 2022 and slaughtered before March 18, 2022 will continue to be accepted for import.  Poultry products exported from Dordogne and Finistère province before April 2, 2022 and slaughtered before March 19, 2022 will continue to be accepted for import.

It is also learnt that on 28 February 2022, Singapore imposed temporary import restrictions on poultry and poultry products from areas affected by the HPAI outbreak in France's Indre-et-Loire and Mayenne province.

The outbreak in the region has now been resolved, and Singapore Food Agency said it would lift the import restrictions.
