The Singapore Food Agency(SFA) has imposed temporary restrictions on imports of poultry and poultry products from areas affected by the highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) outbreak in the Netherlands.
Due to an outbreak of highly pathogenic avian influenza H5 in poultry farms in Barneveld, Voorthuizen and Terschuur towns in Barneveld City, Gelderland Province. Singapore will impose temporary restrictions on imports of poultry and poultry products within 10 km of affected areas. Poultry products that meet the heat treatment requirements of the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) for inactivation of avian influenza viruses will not be affected by the import restrictions.
Poultry products exported from Barneveld township before April 15, 2022 and slaughtered before April 1, 2022 will continue to be accepted for import. Poultry products exported from Voorthuizen town before 19 April 2022 and slaughtered before 5 April 2022 will continue to be accepted for import. Poultry products exported from Terschuur township before April 23, 2022 and slaughtered before April 9, 2022 will continue to be accepted for import.
