On June 8, 2022, the Ministry of Agriculture of Thailand issued a ministerial regulation through the official gazette to optimize the supervision of slaughterhouses and classify meat slaughterhouses in Thailand, effective from issued date.
The main content is to divide Thailand's meat slaughterhouses into two categories: one is the meat slaughterhouses only for domestic sale, and their products are only for domestic sale; Second, slaughterhouses for domestic sale and export of meat, whose products for domestic sale and export, and through the Ministry of Animal Husbandry and Development certification for export.
