The Singapore Food Agency (SFA) announced on 13 July 2022 that it has imposed temporary restrictions on imports of poultry and poultry products in the vicinity of the outbreak of avian influenza in the UK.
As a result of the highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza outbreak in Ludlow, Shropshire, Singapore will impose temporary restrictions on imports of poultry and poultry products within 10 kilometres of the affected area. Poultry products that meet the heat treatment requirements of the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH) for inactivation of avian influenza viruses will not be affected by the import restrictions.
Poultry products exported from Radlow, Shropshire before 21 June 2022 and slaughtered before 7 June 2022 will continue to be accepted for import.
Besides, Singapore lifted import restrictions on poultry and poultry products from Suffolk and Devon.
