Kraft Heinz is recalling juice drinks possible contamination with cleaning solution

Kraft Heinz is recalling 5,760 cases of Wild Cherry flavor juice drink mix due to possible chemical contamination, according to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), which issued a recall notice on August 16, 2022. The recalled products are shown below:

The recalled product was named Capri Sun Wild Cherry Flavored Juice Drink Blend Beverages, weight 6.6 ounces, UPC code 087684001004, and expiration date until June 25, 2023.
 
The recall comes after diluted cleaning solution used on food processing equipment, was inadvertently introduced into a production line at one of the factories. only wild Cherry flavor juice drink mixes with the above batch code are affected.
 
The incident was discovered after Kraft Heinz received some consumers’ complaints about the taste of the affected products. The company is currently actively working with retail partners and distributors to remove potentially affected products from circulation.
 
The FDA is advising consumers who have purchased products affected by the recall not to consume and to return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.
