Foreword

This standard replaces GB 11680-1989 “Hygienic standard of paper used for food packaging” and GB 19305-2003 “Hygienic standard for foodstuff vegetable fibre of container”.

Compared with the above standards, the major changes of this standard are as follows:

——the standard title has been revised to “National food safety standard Food contact papers, paperboard materials and articles”;

——the scope has been revised;

——the terms and definitions have been added;

——the basic requirements have been added;

——the raw material requirements have been added;

——the physicochemical indicators have been revised;

——the microbiological indicators have been revised;

——the requirements for migration test have been added;

——the provisions on the screening method have been added;
       
        ——the requirements for labeling and marking have been added;

——the Annex A and Annex B have been added.
