U.S. FDA to Extend Compliance Deadline for the Food Traceability Rule
On August 6, 2025, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) proposed to extend the compliance deadline for the Food Traceability Rule by 30 months.The rule imposes additional traceability recordkeeping requirements on persons who manufacture, process, pack, or hold foods listed on the Food Traceability List, supplementing existing regulatory requirements.
