Bureau of Import and Export Food Safety of GACC strengthens the source control of imported cold-chain transportable food

 
On July 11, Bureau of import and Export Food Safety of the General Administration of Customs issued "Strengthening the Source Control of imported Cold-Chain transportable Food". The specific content includes:

1. Insist on checkpoint moving forward. Government departments of all 105 countries or regions that export cold-chain food to China are required to urge food exporting enterprises to improve the food safety production management system and take precautionary measures to ensure exported food safety.

2. Carry out remote video inspection. Focus on checking the operation of overseas food safety management systems and the implementation of regulatory responsibilities, the implementation of the responsibilities of food safety subjects of overseas enterprises, and the implementation of the guidelines on COVID-19 related to food safety issued by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations and the World Health Organization.

3. Take suspending product import measures. In response to the recent outbreak of aggregate infections in meat and aquatic product companies in some countries, measures such as suspension of the import of their products have been adopted.
