GACC answered questions on the measures taken to prevent the COVID-19 epidemic through the import risk of cold chain food
On January 14, the State Council Information Office held a press conference on the import and export situation for the whole year of 2020. At the meeting, Li Kuiwen, spokesperson of the General Administration of Customs and Director of the Statistical Analysis Department, stated that the national customs strictly follow the overall deployment of the State Council’s joint prevention and control mechanism to increase the quarantine of imported cold chain foods to prevent the risk of COVID-19 epidemic being introduced through imported cold chain foods. As of 24:00 on January 13, a total of 1,295692 samples were sampled and tested by customs, and 47 nucleic acid positive results were detected, and the other samples were all negative.
