South Korea unified labeling of imported and domestic salt
On March 15th, according to Korean media reports, South Korea issued a partial amendment to the "Implementation Rules of the Salt Industry Revitalization Law" to unify the labeling standards for imported and domestic salt and relax restrictions.
Before the amendment of the regulations, domestic salt needs to indicate the year and month of production, and imported salt needs to indicate the year, month, and day of import. After the amendment of the regulations, the year, month, or date of production shall be indicated on the packaging and container of domestic salt. The import year, month, or import year, month, and day are marked on the container, etc.
In addition, the inspection and confirmation mark of salt that has passed the quality inspection will use the national unified certification mark stipulated in the Basic Law of National Standards.
