Japan approves two new genetically modified products
On March 12, 2021, the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare of Japan issued an announcement that the following two genetically modified products have passed the safety review procedures:
Potatoes SPS-ØØX17-5 and SPS-ØØØZ6-5 for potato pest resistance, low free asparagine, low reducing sugar and low polyphenol oxidase submitted by J.R. Simplot Company.
