Thailand issued the announcement of "hemp seeds, hemp seed oil, hemp seed protein and foods containing these protein ingredients"
On March 3, 2021, the Ministry of Public Health of Thailand issued regulations on hemp seeds, hemp seed oil, hemp seed protein and foods containing hemp seed, hemp seed oil or hemp seed protein. As well as the definition of foods containing hemp seeds, hemp seed oil or hemp seed protein ingredients, as well as quality standards, additive requirements, container labeling requirements and regulations that need to be followed, and stipulate the production and processing requirements of hemp seeds and hemp seed protein.
The appendix stipulates the total tetrahydrocannabinol (Total THC) and cannabidiol (CBD) in hemp seeds, hemp seed oil, hemp seed protein and foods containing hemp seeds, hemp seed oil or hemp seed protein components analysis and detection methods. Annex II lists in detail the conditions that foods containing hemp seeds, hemp seed oil or hemp seed protein components should meet in the form of a table. This regulation will take effect on March 4, 2021.
