From September 5 to 11, 2022, the Veterinary and Plant Health Supervision Service of the Russian Federation detected 11 types of quarantine pests in 63 samples of imported high-risk plant products. The information is as follows:
Ambrosia artemisiifolia L. : 7 cases;
Ipomoea lacunosa L. : 2 cases;
Cercospora kikuchii (T. Matsu & Tomoyasu) Gardn.: 1 case;
Carposina niponensis Wlsgh. : 3 cases;
Echinothrips americanus Morgan: 1 case;
Monilinia fructicola (Winter) Honey: 2 cases;
Callosobruchus SPP. : 1 case;
Cuscuta SPP. : 3 cases;
Grapholitha molesta (Busck) : 3 cases;
Cerliferous capitata (Wiedemann): 9 cases;
Frankliniella occidentalis Perg: 31 cases.
All infected products are banned from entering Russia because of the risk to Russian agriculture and biosecurity caused by the spread of the above quarantine pests.
