Argentina revises regulations on the inspection of products and by-products of animal origin

On 4 November 2022, The National Service for Agri-Food Health and Quality(SENASA) of Argentina issued resolution 711/2022, amending the Regulations on the Inspection of Products and by-products of Animal Origin. The resolution takes effect 90 days after its publication in the Government Gazette. Main Contents are as follows:


(1) Revision of relevant definitions. Ex. Means of transport, etc.


(2) The application of transport vehicles shall be subject to the submission of documentation requirements. Requirements for vehicle structure and characters to be marked are listed;


(3) Packaging requirements for food of animal origin. No contact with other non-edible products; Refrigerate meat and dairy products; Carcass, fat, eggs in shell and other specific packaging requirements.
