According to the information on the website of LPPOM MUI, Indonesia's halal inspection agency, Indonesia's famous Ramen brand "Ramen Ya" has obtained the halal certificate. The brand has stores on the Indonesian islands of Java, Bali and Sumatra.
Speaking at the press conference and halal certificate handover event at the Ramen brand store, LPPOM MUI said that the halal certificate is a reflection of the company's compliance with Indonesian regulations. According to the Indonesian Halal Certification Government regulations, food and beverage products must obtain a halal certificate by 17 October 2024.
Meanwhile, Cecep Kosasih, an official of the Halal Product Assurance Group (BPJPH), said, "Indonesia must become the number one producer of halal products in the world by 2024. Currently, Indonesia ranks fourth in the world behind Malaysia, Singapore and the United Arab Emirates (UAE)."
