Algeria exported 54,000 tons of dates worth 49 million dollars to 64 countries in the first nine months of 2022, Algerian Minister of The minister of Trade and Export Promotion Kamel Rezig said in response to a question from parliamentarian, Algeria Today (L'Algérie Aujourd'hui) website reported on December 8.
In 2019, Algeria exported 57,000 tons of dates, worth 63 million U.S. dollars. In 2020, 69,000 tons of exports, with an export value of $72 million; In 2021, 76,000 tons were exported, with an export value of 78 million US dollars.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development plans to export dates to 150 countries, with a total value of $250 million.
