India to formulate the Inspection List and Subsequent Supervision of Fish and Fishery Products

On December 20, 2022, the Food Safety Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) issued document RCD-01003/2/2022 to formulate inspection lists for fish and fish products and orders for subsequent supervision.


Main contents:


(1) For production enterprises that have obtained a production license under the item of meat and meat products, add: a checklist of hygienic requirements that should be followed in the handling, processing, manufacturing, packaging, storage, distribution, transportation and retail of fish and fish products; including: production Design and construction of facilities (16 items such as pollution prevention, workshop structure, processing water, light intensity, etc.), production operation requirements (20 items of raw material acceptance and inspection, processing temperature, packaging, quick-freezing, insect pests and waste disposal regulations) , personal hygiene and training, record requirements (8 specific requirements);


(2) List of fish and fish products. Including: frozen mollusks, crustaceans and echinoderms and their products. This document will come into force on December 18, 2022.
