Singapore to Amend Food Regulations 2022

On December 22, 2022, the Singapore Food Authority (SFA) issued a consultation document to propose amendments to the Food Regulations 2022, and the feedback period ends on February 20, 2023. 


Main contents: (1) Revise the current definition of "veterinary drug"; replace the existing definition of "antibiotics" with the Codex definition of "antibacterial agent"; delete the provisions related to the limit of Zeranol; revise crustacean, finned Relevant definitions and scopes of fish, food animals, etc.; (2) Increase the maximum residues of Clopidol in some foods in Schedule 18, as shown in the table below.
