South Korea released a draft for comments on a partial revision of the Healthy Functional Food Code, revising the production methods in the protein production standards
On April 13, the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) issued Notice No. 2023-181, which proposes to amend part of the “Healthy Functional Food Code”. The main contents are as follows:
1. Modify the production method in the production standard of protein.
2. Modify the raw material name of mulberry yellow mushroom extract.
3. Modify the general test methods for individual components (fatty acids and phytosterols associated with saw palmetto fruit extract).
The above comments will be solicited until June 12, 2023.
