South Korea plans to set seafood export revenue target at 4.5 billion in 2027

According to SeafoodNews on May 22, the South Korea's Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries (MOF) stated that South Korea has set a seafood export target of US$4.5 billion in 2027, a figure that has increased by 42.8% from US$3.15 billion in 2022.

 

While maintaining the competitiveness of existing leading products, South Korea plans to cultivate new pillar export seafood products such as fish cakes, sea mustard, salmon, etc. South Korea will also support the development of ready-to-eat foods or health products using seafood.

 

South Korea plans to increase the number of enterprises with an export revenue of more than US$10 million from the current 63 to 100.
