On May 15, 2023, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) issued food safety testing bulletin and reports.

The CFIA monitors chemical and microbiological hazard levels and has a risk management strategy in place. When violations are found, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency will take appropriate actions, including notifying the manufacturer or importer, conducting further directional sampling or detaining or recalling the product.

The food safety testing bulletin and reports include“Coumarin in Selected Foods”(2016-2018), “Perchlorate in Dairy Products and Infant Formula" (2020-2021), and “Furan, 2-methylfuran and 3-methylfuran in Selected Foods" (2020 – 2021).
