On July 14, 2023, the Ministry of Agricultural Cooperation of Thailand issued a notice to formulate a cocoa bean standard, which will be implemented from the date of publication. The main contents are as follows:

1. Scope and definition;

2. Standards. Odor, foreign matter no more than 0.75%, moisture content less than 7.5%, etc. : classification standards;

3. Packaging and labeling. Product name, quality grade, size, net weight, name and address of manufacturer, packer, importer or exporter, country of origin, batch and date of manufacture and shelf life.
