On August 16, 2023, the Ministry of Agriculture of Gurgisstan announced that it will ensure the effective traceability and safety of meat and its products. The veterinary services department has set up an identification system that allows consumers to scan QR codes before purchasing to check the quality and shelf life of meat.

The QR code records the entire process of the meat product from the slaughter rate to the sale of the product, so that consumers can know the age of the animal, the source, when the meat was slaughtered, and whether the meat meets all veterinary and hygiene standards.
