Brazil to revise food additive standards

On August 30, 2023, the Brazilian National Health Supervision Agency (ANVISA) issued public consultation document No. 1198, proposing to revise the standards for the use of food additives, specifically for the use of a variety of food additives such as beta-carotene (produced from Blastigma trispora) in some new foods, the specific content of the table below. The revised comment period ends on November 7, 2023.
