On August 30, 2023, the Commission of the Eurasian Economic Union issued Proposal No. 0108576, a list of products subject to mandatory inspection and assessment, which are subject to a declaration of conformity (declaring that the product meets the requirements of the Union's Technical Regulation on the safety of edible Oils and Fats (TR EAEU 024/2011)) at the time of importation.

Specifically, it includes 87 HS code products in 20 categories, such as refined or virgin edible vegetable oil, butter and other edible fats from animal sources, edible plant, animal or microbial source shortening, and mixed edible plant or animal fats.

The proposal is subject to a comment period ending October 4, 2023.
