On September 21, 2023, the Australian Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF) updated the import licensing requirements for non-composite dairy products containing approved ingredients as follows:

(1) To allow applications for standard licenses for non-composite milk products containing approved ingredients, including: approved starter cultures, highly refined chemicals and substances, fish oil (or its derivatives) (not exceeding 25kg or 25L per individual package), minerals (including salt), water;

(2) The standard license does not list the product name. If the license of the relevant product needs to list the product name, apply for a non-standard license.
