South Korea issued guidelines for the hygienic management of egg sorting, packaging and processing

On January 3, 2024, the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) of the Republic of Korea issued the "Guidelines for Hygiene Management of Edible Egg Sorting and Packaging Industry" and the "Guidelines for Hygiene Management of Egg Processing", which include:

 

(1) The "Guidelines for Hygiene Management of Edible Egg Sorting and Packaging Industry" mainly includes the general situation of edible egg sorting and packaging industry, business licensing methods and procedures, workplace facility standards, hygiene management standards, harmful microbial control measures and the main management obligations of operators;

 

(2) The "Guidelines for Hygiene Management of Egg Processing" mainly includes the overview of the egg processing industry, business licensing methods and procedures, workplace facility standards, hygiene management standards, harmful microbial control measures, and the main management obligations of operators.
