On 23 January 2024, the Brazilian National Agency for Health Surveillance (ANVISA) issued Consultation document 1229 on the proposed revision of the regulations on food additives and processing aids in food. The consultation period ends on 30 March 2024 for comments. The main content is to increase the maximum limits for Azul jenipapo (genipina-glicina) (INS183) in some foods. This is shown in the table below.
