Kazakhstan's Ministry of Agriculture has issued a decree imposing a six-month ban on egg imports in order to support the country's breeders during the spring and summer.

The ban applies to the ban on the import of eggs from EAEU member states and third countries, and does not apply to the transit of eggs on the territory of Kazakhstan and member states of the Union.

The ban will take effect on May 1, 2024.
