The Chilean Agricultural and Livestock Bureau (SAG) recently released a report showing that in the first quarter of this year, Chile exported a total of 1,016,900 tons of fresh fruit, an increase of 13% year-on-year. In addition, China and the United States are the main export markets.
Chile's "PortalPortuario" website reported that, according to the report, in the first quarter of Chile's exports of fresh fruits are mainly grapes, cherries and prunes, China and the United States is the main export market, of which, Chile's main fresh fruits exported to China is cherry, while prune exports grew significantly; Chile's exports of fresh fruits to the United States are mainly grapes and carrots. Fresh fruit exports are mainly grapes and blueberries.
José Guajardo Reyes, director of the Chilean SAG, said, "In the first quarter of this year, the SAG issued a total of 60,483 phytosanitary certificates, which ensures that Chilean fruits meet the market requirements of other countries."
