On May 29, 2024, the Brazilian National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA) issued through the Official Gazette Directive INNo303, amending the standards for the use of food additives (Directive INNo211, issued in 2023). The specific content is the requirements for the use of phosphate and other food additives in some new foods, some of which are shown in the following table. The directive came into force on 5 June 2024.
