On July 19, 2024, the Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) published the Official Bulletin on the Amendment No.229 to the ANZ Food Standards Code. 

Amendment No.229 contains a new Standard and amendments to the following Standards and Schedules in the Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code:

Standard 2.8.3 Native bee honey

Standard 1.1.1 Structure of the Code and general provisions

Standard 1.1.2 Definitions used throughout the Code

Standard 1.2.2 Information requirements - food identification

Standard 2.9.2 Food for infants

Schedule 4 – Nutrition, health and related claims

Schedule 22 – Foods and classes of foods

Schedule 26 – Food produced using gene technology

The applications under which these amendments are made is as follows:

A1257 - Australian native bee honey

A1280 - Food derived from herbicide-tolerant and insect-protected corn line DAS1131
