On August 14, 2017, the WTO website issued Notification No. G/SPS/N/CHN/1055 and the content of the notification is “Regulation on the Implementation of the Food Safety Law of the People’s Republic of China (Revised draft)”. The revised draft is based on the “Food Safety Law”. There are total 98 articles and 10 chapters in the draft, including general rules, food safety risk monitoring and assessment, food safety standards, food production and operation, food inspection, food import and export and so on. The review period of this notification is by October 13, 2017.
The recommended packaging industry standard "General requirements for the packaging of HALAL products" proposed by China Packaging Federation and under the jurisdiction of China Packaging Committee of Standardization has been formed the exposure draft through the careful consideration and modification of experts of drafting group, and solicited public opinions. The deadline of soliciting opinions is on September 10, 2017.
