Consumer Wu spent RMB 36,698 buying a food product from an e-commerce platform, however the food was suspected of being involved a false indication of the date marking.
The court concluded that the incorrect date marking of the food was a major food safety issue. The court sentenced that the e-commerce company shall return RMB 36,698 and pay compensation of RMB 366,980 to Wu.
