Recently, the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) organised inspections of foods and found out 10 batches of foods unqualified. 5 food categories were involved, namely, starch and its products, edible agricultural products, meat products, biscuits and its products, and foods for special dietary uses. 

The unqualified reasons were residue issue of pesticides and veterinary drugs (involving 5 batches of edible agricultural products sold offline), microbial contamination (involving 2 batches of starch and its products sold online), excessive uses of food additives (involving 1 batch of meat products (imported) sold online), quality index issue (involving 1 batch of biscuits sold offline), inconformity of nutrient contents and labelled values (involving 1 batch of foods for special dietary uses (imported) sold offline).
