Recently, FOODMATE summarised the food sampling information released by State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR), for your reference.
In January, 2020, SAMR released 3 notices on food sampling information, involving 33 batches of unqualified foods.
According to the data, 10 food categories were involved, which were meat products (6 batches), edible agricultural products (6 batches), roasted foods and nut products (5 batches), pastries, instant foods, fruits, beverages, alcoholic drinks, tea and its products and soy products.
The main unqualified reasons weremicrobial contamination (the most, 9 batches), pesticides and veterinary drug residue issues,food additive issues and quality index issues. Other reasons were also found in some of the foods, such as heavy metal contamination, biotoxin issues.
In addition, 8 batches of unqualified foods were sold online, respectively on Taobao.com (3 batches), JD.com (2 batches), Tmall.com (2 batches) and Suning.com (1 batch).
